Wilfried and his friends

Wilfried, the ten year old son of Earl Eberhard von Rodenbusch, dives under the ice-surface of the Feld-lake and saves Richard, the son of their farm manager, who has fallen in. The two boys become friends and go together to the grammar school in the next city. Some classmates first think Wilfried is a show-off and a Mummy’s darling, but then it becomes known, that he has won a riding tournament, that he has got the green belt in Judo and that he was awarded the rescue medal.
In the first years Wilfried provides for suspense in school with imaginative, amusing tricks, but he always makes sure, that nothing gets torn, that nobody gets hurt and that the Headmaster, to whom he mostly has to report to be punished, can laugh about the story.
In spite of all his jokes Wilfried is the good spirit of the class. He looks after all his classmates, when they need his help.
